Literary Publications by Prof. Juan B. Gutiérrez
I am a Professor of Mathematics at The University of Texas at San Antonio. I direct the Biomathematics Research Group (BRG); the BRG explores mathematical and computational models at multiple scales (from genes to ecology).
Regarding literature, I am a fiction author, and also a scholar particularly interested in: (i) artificial intelligence applied to storytelling, (ii) digital narratology (or digital neo-structuralism), (iii) narrative bots, and (iv) natural language processing. I believe that storytelling is an essential state of human minds, and that it can be mediated by digital technologies.
